The caregivers are arranged according to users evaluations. For each of them, eventual community networks and trainings can be listed (for instance if they are affiliated to the Trans Health Space [EST], the SoFECT, ...).

On each practician's page are the details of the ratings devided among different evaluation criterias, with potential comments left by the users. In the margin (on top on mobiles), is the practical information to contact them, and the links to websites for setting up appointments when available.

For each caregiver, it is possible for anyone to add an assesment using simple questions with detailed explanations or examples. Each evaluation criteria is rated through complementary questions. Those questions have evolved through users and community workers feedback.

The questionnaire is short and efficient, making it easy to fill in on mobile devices (when one comes out of a medical appointment for instance).

An article discussing the project was published in Transkind, a zine for the trans community.

OurBodies

The OurBodies project is still a work in progress. It rised from the observation that it is quite difficult for trans people to find medical pactitioners who combines both the knowledge of their specific health issues and the benevolence that comes with the capacity to adapt to the patient without applying stereotypes.

Objectives :

  • Enabling trans people to find suitable medical care,
  • Keeping trace of caregivers practices, including those we do not recomend,
  • Finding an objective notation system and letting people apply their own coefficient between the rating categories.

Work :

  • Project definition, brainstorming with potential users, investigation of existing ressources,
  • Website creation : interface design, UX, code (html/css, bootstrap, php/mysql),
  • Tests and feedback (ongoing).

The homepage presents the details of the politacal motivations of the project. It answers the questions of the website users, either trans' users, caregivers, or people interested in getting more information on the project.

The principal action, to find a caregiver, is easily accessible on the homepage.

Tools have been set up to enhance the platform, in particular to facilitate the collection of users feedback on the beta version (current version) : bugreport form on every page, publishing of call for contribution, contacts with associations to fill in the database, integration in self-support networks.
